The case involved a woman from NGO Colony in Kaikaluru town, identified as Penumala Prasanna, who was cheated by cyber criminals in the name of share market investments.
According to police officials, the fraudsters contacted the victim through WhatsApp and claimed to be representatives of a company called “India Nivesh Shares and Securities.” They convinced her to download a fake mobile application named “Niv Pro”, promising high returns through share market investments.
Believing their claims of quick profits, the victim transferred money in several installments between November 5, 2025 and December 4, 2025, eventually losing a large amount to the fraudsters.
