Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu distributing Pattadar Passbooks during Mee Bhoomi Mee Hakku Programme in Nandyal district

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu distributes new Pattadar Passbooks with State Emblem to farmers during the Mee Bhoomi Mee Hakku Programme in Nandyal district.

Kurnool, Mar 09: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said the government is making serious efforts to resolve land-related issues across Andhra Pradesh by December next year. He announced that new Pattadar Passbooks with the State Emblem are being issued to prevent tampering and eliminate land disputes.

Participating in the Mee Bhoomi Mee Hakku Programme at Kotha Buruzu village in Done mandal of Nandyal district, the Chief Minister distributed the new passbooks to beneficiaries and explained the measures being taken to strengthen the revenue system in the state.

Chandrababu Naidu alleged that the previous government had weakened the revenue administration by placing nearly 1.95 crore acres under Section 22A and altering private land records. He also criticized the earlier government for introducing the Land Titling Act, claiming it attempted to give control of private lands to a select few and restricted the scope for appeals.

He said that after coming to power, the coalition government repealed the Land Titling Act and began correcting errors in land records to protect farmers’ rights. The Chief Minister also pointed out that earlier rulers had even printed their photographs on farmers’ land passbooks.

Mee Bhoomi Mee Hakku Programme Introduces Modern Technology

The Chief Minister said the new passbooks issued under the Mee Bhoomi Mee Hakku Programme include QR codes and use blockchain technology to track any changes made in land records. These features, he said, will ensure transparency and prevent manipulation of records in the future.

Chandrababu Naidu also highlighted the government’s focus on the development of Rayalaseema. He stated that the goal is to provide irrigation water to every acre in the region. According to him, nearly 30 tanks in the Done constituency are currently receiving water through the Handri–Neeva project.

He further said that Rayalaseema will be developed into a major horticulture hub, with infrastructure to export fruits and agricultural produce to international markets. Agro-processing industries will also be established to boost farmers’ income.

The Chief Minister explained that farmers are being encouraged to adopt a paper cover technique to protect fruits from pests. The government is providing a 50 percent subsidy for these covers, which could help farmers earn up to ₹40,000 per acre through improved crop quality. He also noted that mango exports can fetch up to ₹1.7 lakh per tonne in global markets.

Chandrababu Naidu added that the Central Government has allocated ₹30,000 crore under the Purvodaya scheme, while the state government has earmarked ₹4,000 crore for Panchayat roads. Industries such as aerospace, defence, electronics, automobile, and food processing are also being encouraged in Rayalaseema.

Industrial parks are being developed at Kopparthi and Orvakal, he said. Under the Jal Jeevan Mission, the government will also provide safe drinking water through tap connections to every household.

Earlier, the Chief Minister inspected horticulture stalls set up at the venue. Ministers Payyavula Keshav and Anagani Satya Prasad, along with public representatives and officials, attended the programme.
