Dr. Navya Reddy Etamukkala PHC has become a symbol of trust and care for rural mothers, transforming perceptions about government healthcare. At a time when many feared public hospitals due to long queues and limited facilities, Etamukkala Primary Health Centre (PHC) is steadily changing that narrative—thanks to the dedication of Civil Assistant Surgeon Dr. Nalamalapu Navya Reddy.
Believing that healthcare goes beyond medicines, Dr. Navya focuses on building confidence among expectant mothers. Her reassuring approach—“Don’t worry… we are here”—has turned the PHC into a dependable destination for safe and comfortable deliveries.
Rising Trust in Government Healthcare
Dr. Navya began her medical service on April 6, 2022, at Modepalli in Addanki Mandal before taking charge at Etamukkala PHC. Since her arrival, the centre has witnessed a significant increase in patient turnout, with nearly 200 outpatients visiting daily.
From the early stages of pregnancy, she ensures continuous monitoring through regular check-ups, personalized counselling, nutrition advice, and awareness about daily exercise. Her holistic care approach has improved both maternal and child health outcomes.

Triple Deliveries Bring Joy to Families
March 20 marked a memorable day at the PHC. Three expectant mothers—Deepika Challancharla, Anjali Gaddam, and Madhavi Dara—arrived in labour on the same day.
Working tirelessly through the night, Dr. Navya successfully handled all three deliveries, bringing immense joy to the families and showcasing the efficiency of government healthcare services.

Modern Facilities Strengthen Services
With support from local MLA Janardhan Damacharla, the PHC is set to upgrade with a modern diagnostic laboratory capable of conducting around 150 tests.
The centre also maintains strict immunization records aligned with WHO guidelines, ensuring timely vaccinations for children. Facilities such as baby warmers and a functional operation theatre further strengthen maternal and child healthcare services.
Focus on Natural Deliveries and Compassionate Care
Etamukkala PHC prioritizes natural births, minimizing unnecessary cesarean sections. This approach not only protects maternal health but also reduces financial burden on rural families.
Dr. Navya’s service extends beyond regular duty hours. Whether late at night or early morning, she remains available for emergencies and even offers financial assistance to underprivileged patients.
“There’s no greater joy than serving those in need,” she says.
Today, Etamukkala PHC stands as a model rural healthcare centre, earning recognition for its quality maternal care—driven by the dedication and compassion of Dr. Navya Reddy.
