Leaders of the BRS party have strongly criticized the state budget, alleging that it has failed to support minority communities and has instead misled them with unfulfilled promises. They stated that the government has not honored key commitments made to minority groups, raising serious concerns about welfare, education, and financial support.

Congress Budget and Minority Welfare Concerns
According to BRS minority leaders, the Congress budget minority welfare allocations reflect major cuts and neglected promises. They pointed out that funds for student fee reimbursement (RTF), which previously stood at ₹300 crore, have been reduced to ₹100 crore in the current budget. This significant cut of nearly 66 percent, they alleged, would directly impact minority students and hinder their educational opportunities.
The leaders also criticized the government for failing to allocate any funds for the promised “one tola gold” scheme under Shaadi Mubarak for Muslim women. They questioned whether this omission amounts to neglecting the needs of economically weaker sections within the minority community.
Further, they claimed that welfare kits distributed during festivals have been drastically reduced from 4,000 per constituency during the previous government to just 1,200 now, affecting a large number of poor families.
Demand for Accountability in Congress Budget Minority Welfare
The leaders raised concerns over the lack of support for self-employment schemes, stating that despite over 1.2 lakh youth applying for loans, no subsidies have been provided. They questioned why schemes such as Minority Bandhu and sewing machine distribution have been stalled.
They also alleged that minority residential schools are facing financial difficulties due to pending mess bills and lack of funding. While the previous administration established over 200 such institutions, they claimed that the current government has not initiated even a single new school. The absence of adequate funding for existing schools, they said, is causing inconvenience to students.
