Guntur: Shakamuri Padma, a talented artist and arts instructor from Guntur district, has been selected for the prestigious “India Arts–2026” Award, presented annually in various artistic fields by the Indian Literature and Arts Society, an organization recognized by the Corporate Affairs Ministry of the Government of India.
According to the organizers, Padma has been chosen for the award in the Paintings and Clay Crafts category in recognition of her creativity, dedication, and contribution to promoting art among young learners. The society’s representatives presented the award certificate to Padma on Wednesday and appreciated her efforts in nurturing artistic talent among children and art enthusiasts.

Padma holds a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree in Science and initially began her career as a teacher. However, her deep passion for painting and arts & crafts gradually inspired her to move into the field of art education. Over the years, she has developed strong expertise in various forms of painting and clay craft techniques.
With a commitment to encouraging creativity, Padma has been actively teaching arts and crafts to students and art lovers. She provides training to children as young as five years old, as well as to individuals of different age groups who wish to learn painting and craft work based on their interests and abilities.

At present, Padma is serving as an Arts and Crafts Instructor at Delhi Public School located in the Lam area of Guntur district.
