In a major breakthrough, police have made a Macherla assault case arrest in connection with the alleged attack on a woman government employee in Palnadu district. The accused, identified as the victim’s boyfriend, was apprehended following a detailed investigation using CCTV footage.

According to police officials, the Macherla assault case arrest was made after analyzing CCTV footage that helped identify the accused as Namala Srinivasa Rao, a resident of Rajupalem. Acting on credible leads, special police teams were formed under the supervision of District SP B. Krishna Rao.
The accused was arrested on Wednesday night from Rajupalem and later produced before the court on Thursday. The court remanded him to 14 days of judicial custody in connection with the Macherla assault case arrest. He was subsequently shifted to the Gurazala Sub Jail.
Police stated that after the Macherla assault case arrest, the accused was taken to Macherla Government Hospital for medical examination before being presented in court as per legal procedures.
