Tanuku, Major News: The Amrit Bharat Express Tanuku Welcome event was held with great enthusiasm at Tanuku Railway Station on Sunday as the newly introduced train running between Kamakhya and Charlapalli arrived at the station. The train was flagged off by Bhupathiraju Srinivasa Varma, Union Minister and Narasapuram Member of Parliament. Tanuku MLA Arimilli Radhakrishna, a member of the State PAC Committee, also participated in the programme along with coalition leaders, railway officials, and local residents.
Amrit Bharat Express Tanuku Welcome Highlights Railway Development
Speaking during the Amrit Bharat Express Tanuku Welcome programme, MLA Arimilli Radhakrishna praised the efforts of Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India, for modernizing and strengthening the country’s public transportation system. He stated that the launch of the Charlapalli–Kamakhya Amrit Bharat Express would significantly improve connectivity between the northeastern states and other regions of the country.
The MLA noted that the coalition government is prioritizing infrastructure and transport development. Under the leadership of N. Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, and Minister Nara Lokesh, several initiatives are being taken to improve transportation facilities in Andhra Pradesh.
He also appreciated the efforts of Union Minister Srinivasa Varma for resolving several railway-related issues in the region. According to the MLA, the minister played a key role in restoring the Attili halt for the Sarkar Express and Puri–Tirupati Express services that had been discontinued during the previous government’s tenure.

Amrit Bharat Express Tanuku Welcome Boosts Local Connectivity
During the Amrit Bharat Express Tanuku Welcome event, Union Minister Bhupathiraju Srinivasa Varma stated that MLA Arimilli Radhakrishna had consistently brought several proposals to his attention regarding the needs of the local people. He said the issue of providing express train halts at Attili Railway Station was resolved after repeated representations made by the MLA.
The minister also highlighted the introduction of the Vande Bharat Express between Narasapuram and Chennai, calling it a matter of pride for the district. He added that the government is planning additional initiatives to further strengthen railway connectivity and improve transportation facilities for passengers in the region.
Union Minister Srinivasa Varma received a grand welcome from coalition leaders and party workers upon his arrival at Tanuku Railway Station. A large number of railway officials, political leaders, activists, and members of the public attended the event and expressed their happiness over the introduction of the new train service.
