In a major relief for thousands of applicants, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. A total of ₹174 crore will be refunded to 83,865 applicants, providing long-awaited financial relief.

TIDCO Refund Brings Relief to Thousands of Applicants

The TIDCO Refund decision was taken during a review meeting on urban development held at the Camp Office in Amaravati on Wednesday. The Chief Minister directed officials to immediately process refunds and ensure transparency in the process.

In addition, he instructed authorities to expedite the handover of 1,00,875 completed TIDCO houses and ensure beneficiaries perform housewarming ceremonies at the earliest. This move is expected to strengthen trust among applicants and accelerate housing distribution.

The CM also emphasized modernizing urban governance by introducing QR code-based digital door numbers across 123 Urban Local Bodies (ULBs). These will be integrated with municipal services such as property tax through platforms like Bharat Bill and Mana Mitra.

Urban Development Push Alongside TIDCO Refund Initiative

Along with the TIDCO Refund, the Chief Minister outlined a comprehensive urban development strategy. He directed officials to implement a smart water pipeline grid with real-time quality monitoring to ensure safe drinking water.

Officials reported that over 17 lakh users have registered on the Puramitra app, with nearly 92,000 grievances already addressed. The CM suggested identifying complaint hotspots and resolving issues through targeted field visits.

He also stressed infrastructure development, prioritizing 484 km of roads in key cities like Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, Guntur, Rajahmundry, and Tirupati.

Highlighting welfare measures, the CM directed the expansion of Anna Canteens, with 70 new centers planned in addition to the existing 204 canteens operating at an annual cost of ₹167 crore.

On Amaravati development, he reviewed key infrastructure projects, including a 72-km power duct, and emphasized pollution control measures and better connectivity with nearby cities.

With the TIDCO Refund and a strong push for urban development, the government aims to improve living standards and ensure efficient governance across Andhra Pradesh.
