In a major relief to Polavaram Displaced Families, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has released ₹250 crore towards rehabilitation and resettlement (R&R), calling it a special Ugadi gift. The initiative aims to provide financial support and improve living conditions for families affected by the Polavaram irrigation project.

₹250 Crore Boost for Polavaram Displaced Families

The ₹250 crore allocation for Polavaram Displaced Families was formally handed over by the Chief Minister during a programme held in Mangalagiri on Wednesday. Speaking on the occasion, Polavaram MLA Chirri Balaraju described the move as a significant and commendable step by the government.

He noted that under the leadership of Chandrababu Naidu, rehabilitation works related to the Polavaram project are progressing at a rapid pace. The government is prioritizing the welfare of displaced families by ensuring both infrastructure development and timely financial assistance.

Balaraju highlighted that the funds released will directly benefit affected families, helping them rebuild their lives with dignity and security. He added that such proactive governance reflects the government’s commitment to inclusive development.

Government Focus on Welfare of Polavaram Displaced Families

Emphasizing the importance of welfare measures, the MLA stated that the support extended to Polavaram Displaced Families has made the Ugadi festival more meaningful and joyful for the beneficiaries. He expressed confidence that continued government efforts will further strengthen rehabilitation initiatives.

Balaraju also extended Ugadi greetings to the people of the state, wishing prosperity and happiness in the Telugu New Year.

The programme witnessed the presence of key leaders, including Irrigation Minister Nimmala Ramanaidu, TRICOR Chairman Boragam Srinivasulu, and MLA Miriyala Sirisha, along with several alliance leaders and public representatives.

With this financial support, the government has reaffirmed its commitment to improving the lives of Polavaram Displaced Families, ensuring they are not left behind in the state’s development journey.
