A Markapur bus accident has left Andhra Pradesh in shock after a private travel bus collided with a tipper near Rayavaram, killing 13 passengers and injuring around 15 others. The tragic incident occurred early in the morning when nearly 30 people were travelling on the bus.

Collision Triggers Massive Fire
The private bus, belonging to Hare Krishna Travels, was travelling from Jagtial to Pamuru when it crashed into a tipper carrying gravel from Chimakurthy. The impact caused a sudden fire, and the bus was quickly engulfed in flames. While about 10 passengers managed to escape, many others were trapped inside, leading to a high death toll.
Rescue Operations and Victims
Firefighters arrived with three fire engines and brought the flames under control. Police teams recovered 13 bodies from the burnt vehicle and began identification procedures. Several of the deceased are women and children, and most victims are believed to be from Kanigiri and Pamuru. The injured were shifted to Markapur Government Hospital for treatment.
Government Response
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu expressed deep sorrow and directed officials to provide the best medical care to the injured. He also ordered a detailed inquiry into the accident.

Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan and Minister Nara Lokesh also conveyed condolences and assured support to the victims’ families. Authorities have set up a control room to monitor the situation and coordinate relief efforts.
