In a tragic incident near Markapur in Prakasam district, a bus caught fire claiming the life of Muttangi Venkateswarlu. Poojitha visited the victim’s family at Podalakuru in SPSR Nellore district, offering condolences and financial assistance of ₹1 lakh on behalf of the YSR Congress Party. She also met another injured victim undergoing treatment and enquired about his condition, expressing deep concern over the increasing number of accident-related casualties.

Emergency Services Collapsed – 108 Ambulance Delays Cost Lives
Poojitha strongly alleged that Emergency Services Collapsed due to the inefficiency of the coalition government, particularly highlighting the failure of the 108 ambulance system. She claimed that ambulances are not reaching accident spots on time, with victims reportedly waiting up to 26 minutes after calling for help. According to her, such delays are directly contributing to loss of lives that could otherwise be saved with timely medical intervention.

She further criticized the government for neglecting public welfare and focusing more on political agendas rather than strengthening emergency infrastructure. Poojitha emphasized that if ambulances had arrived promptly and proper treatment was administered, several lives could have been saved.

The YSRCP leader demanded strict enforcement of transport safety regulations, including regular inspections of private buses and vehicles to prevent accidents caused by negligence or mechanical failures. She stated that compensation alone is not a solution and urged the government to take concrete steps to ensure that such tragedies do not recur.
Expressing grief over the incident, Poojitha prayed for the departed soul and extended support to the grieving family, reiterating that Emergency Services Collapsed is a serious issue that needs immediate attention.
