In the Bengaluru Narsapur Train Robbery, unidentified miscreants carried out a well-planned theft on the superfast special train (No. 07154), which departed from Bengaluru on Saturday evening. According to reports, the accused conducted recce across multiple sleeper coaches during the night and targeted passengers while they were in deep sleep.
The Bengaluru Narsapur Train Robbery took place in S-2, S-3, S-11, and S-12 coaches, where the culprits stole around 120 grams of gold chains and 10 grams of silver ornaments, worth several lakhs of rupees. In some cases, the accused allegedly forced passengers to vacate their reserved seats and temporarily occupied them, creating confusion and fear among travelers.

The incident occurred between Katpadi and Bapatla. Near the Bhartipudi railway gate, close to Bapatla station, the miscreants reportedly pulled the emergency chain and escaped from the train. Witnesses stated that the suspects wore towels around their necks and applied tilak on their foreheads to avoid suspicion.

The Government Railway Police (GRP) registered a case and launched an investigation. Special teams have been deployed to identify and arrest the accused, while CCTV footage and other evidence are being examined.
