According to initial reports, a Bolero SUV carrying devotees collided head-on with a ready-mix concrete truck on the national highway. The Kurnool road accident was so severe that eight passengers died on the spot, while several others suffered critical injuries. Emergency services rushed to the scene and shifted the injured to a hospital in Emmiganur for immediate treatment.

Chief Minister Chandrababu Expresses Shock Over Kurnool Road Accident
Amaravati:Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu expressed deep shock over the tragic road accident that claimed eight lives near Chilakaladona in Kurnool district.
He conveyed his grief over the incident, in which a Bolero vehicle collided with a lorry, resulting in the death of eight people. The Chief Minister reviewed the situation and sought detailed information about the accident.
According to officials, the victims were devotees from Karnataka who were traveling to Mantralayam for darshan. The accident occurred at around 3:30 a.m., and all eight victims died on the spot.
Around 10 injured persons are currently receiving treatment at a nearby area hospital, while those with serious injuries have been shifted to the Kurnool Government General Hospital (GGH) for advanced medical care.
The Chief Minister directed officials to ensure the best possible treatment for the injured. He also expressed his heartfelt condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in this tragic incident.
