Ramu said the delay in increasing Anganwadi workers’ salaries was mainly due to financial constraints caused by the economic situation inherited from the previous government. However, he added that the issue would soon be resolved.
He informed the workers that Women and Child Welfare Minister Gummadi Sandhya Rani had also stated that the government is aware of the issue and is working to address it.
The MLA further said that the coalition government led by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is committed to strengthening the Anganwadi system in the state. He said the government is gradually implementing the promises made to Anganwadi workers during the elections.

He emphasised that the Chandrababu Naidu government is the only administration that recognised the hard work and dedication of Anganwadi workers and is committed to improving their welfare.
Anganwadi workers who attended the meeting thanked MLA Ramu for taking the initiative to listen to their concerns and for promising to work towards resolving their issues.
The meeting was attended by AP State Warehousing Corporation Chairman Ravi Venkateswara Rao, Jana Sena Gudivada in-charge Buragadda Srikant, senior TDP leader Dr. Gorji Satyanarayana, and several Anganwadi workers.
