On Wednesday, Collector Lakshmisha visited the temple premises along with Temple Chairman Borra Radhakrishna (Gandhi), Police Commissioner S.V. Rajasekhar Babu, Vijayawada Municipal Corporation Commissioner Dhyan Chandra H.M., and Temple Executive Officer V.K. Sheena Nayak. The officials inspected the arrangements being made for the Durga Temple Kumbhabhishekam, especially the renovation works at the Vimana Gopuram and other temple structures.
Officials said thousands of devotees are expected to attend the Durga Temple Kumbhabhishekam 2026 celebrations.
During the inspection, the Collector carefully reviewed the quality of construction and renovation works carried out in preparation for the Durga Temple Kumbhabhishekam. He instructed engineering officials to ensure the highest quality standards and complete the final finishing works before the ceremony begins.

Officials also inspected the ghat road leading to the temple, the yagashala where the rituals will be performed, queue lines for devotees, prasadam distribution counters, and other facilities. The Collector said that the grand Durga Temple Kumbhabhishekam celebrations will be held from the 6th to the 8th of this month and that several prominent dignitaries, including the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister, are expected to attend.

To ensure a smooth experience for devotees visiting the Durga Temple Kumbhabhishekam, the administration is setting up well-organised queue lines, additional prasadam counters, dedicated parking areas, and luggage deposit counters. Authorities are also deploying volunteers and staff to assist devotees during the large gathering expected for the ceremony.
Modern technology is also being used to manage the crowds effectively during the Durga Temple Kumbhabhishekam. According to officials, drones and artificial intelligence-based surveillance systems will help monitor crowd movement and ensure the safety of devotees visiting the temple during the three-day event.

Temple Chairman Borra Radhakrishna (Gandhi) said the three-day Durga Temple Kumbhabhishekam will be conducted under the guidance of Kanchi Kamakoti Peethadhipathi Sri Shankara Vijayendra Saraswati Swami. He added that all departments are working together to make the sacred event a grand success.
He also said arrangements are being made to provide basic amenities to devotees attending the Durga Temple Kumbhabhishekam, including drinking water, milk, buttermilk, biscuits, and annaprasadam. With thousands of devotees expected, special steps are being taken to ensure that everyone visiting the temple receives proper facilities and has a comfortable darshan experience.

Police Commissioner S.V. Rajasekhar Babu said tight security arrangements are being made for the Durga Temple Kumbhabhishekam. Authorities estimate that nearly one lakh to one-and-a-half lakh devotees may visit the temple each day during the three-day celebrations.
To manage the massive crowds, around 1,500 police personnel will be deployed across the temple premises and surrounding areas. In addition, an Integrated Command Control Centre (ICCC) will begin operations from the 5th of this month. Through this centre, officials from multiple departments will coordinate their efforts and monitor the situation in real time.
Temple Executive Officer V.K. Sheena Nayak said special darshan arrangements are being planned based on the expected rush of devotees during the Durga Temple Kumbhabhishekam. Continuous monitoring will be carried out to manage crowd flow efficiently.
He also clarified that on the third day of the Durga Temple Kumbhabhishekam, entry to the temple’s inner sanctum will be temporarily restricted due to ritual procedures. In addition, all Arjitha Sevas have already been cancelled during the festival period.
Officials expressed confidence that with coordinated efforts from all departments, the Durga Temple Kumbhabhishekam will be conducted successfully, offering devotees a spiritually fulfilling experience while ensuring safety and convenience for everyone attending the sacred ceremony.
