Collector Inspects Shankar Vilas ROB Construction Progress
Collector Reviews Compost Yard During Shankar Vilas ROB Visit
Guntur, February 17: District Collector A. Thameem Ansariya directed officials to ensure that the Shankar Vilas ROB construction is completed within the stipulated deadline by coordinating closely with the construction agency. She inspected the ongoing Shankar Vilas ROB works at Guntur along with Municipal Commissioner K. Mayur Ashok.

During the inspection, the Collector instructed the agency to complete pillar construction, drainage, and other structural works of the Shankar Vilas ROB as per schedule. She emphasised that drainage works on both sides of the Shankar Vilas ROB should be completed by the end of May to prevent monsoon-related disruptions.
She also directed electricity officials to shift electric poles obstructing the Shankar Vilas ROB construction. The Collector asked R&B and Municipal Corporation officials to continuously monitor the Shankar Vilas ROB progress and extend full support to the construction agency.

Later, she inspected the compost yard at Etukuru Road and reviewed waste management operations. Officials informed her that compost and recycling activities were being carried out efficiently and steps were being taken to increase capacity.
The Collector said proper waste management and infrastructure projects like the Shankar Vilas ROB are essential for urban development and public convenience. She stressed that timely completion of the Shankar Vilas ROB will significantly improve traffic flow and reduce congestion in Guntur.
Officials from R&B, Municipal Corporation, Electricity Department, and representatives of the Shankar Vilas ROB construction agency were present.
