Indian Army Recruitment 2027: Online Applications Open for Agniveer Posts

The Indian Army Recruitment 2027 process has officially commenced, with the online registration and application window now open for eligible candidates. Colonel Rajath Suvarna, Director of Army Recruiting Office (ARO), Guntur, informed that aspiring youth can apply for various categories under the Agniveer recruitment for the recruiting year 2027.

The detailed notification has been published on the official website www.joinindianarmy.nic.in on February 13, 2026.

Agniveer Recruitment 2027: Categories Available

Applications are invited from unmarried youth domiciled in 14 districts of Andhra Pradesh under Army Recruiting Office, Guntur. These districts include:

Kurnool, SPS Nellore, Ananthapuramu, YSR Kadapa, Guntur, Prakasam, Chittoor, Bapatla, Palnadu, Nandyal, Tirupati, Annamayya, Sri Sathya Sai, and Markapuram.

The recruitment will be conducted for the following categories:

  • Agniveer General Duty
  • Agniveer Technical
  • Agniveer Clerk/Store Keeper Technical
  • Agniveer Tradesman (10th Pass)
  • Agniveer Tradesman (8th Pass)

Eligible candidates can apply for any two categories based on their qualifications.


Age Limit Increased for Agniveer 2027

In a significant update, the upper age limit for all Agniveer categories has been increased from 21 years to 22 years. This move is expected to benefit a larger number of aspirants.


Online Examination Details

The Online Common Entrance Examination (CEE) will be conducted in 13 languages, including Telugu, ensuring accessibility for regional candidates.

Additionally, bonus marks will be awarded to candidates possessing:

  • ITI qualification
  • Diploma certificates
  • NCC certification

This initiative encourages skill-based qualifications and training.


Important Dates

  • Notification Released: February 13, 2026
  • Last Date to Apply Online: April 2, 2026
  • Tentative Exam Dates: June 1 to June 15, 2026

Admit cards for the Online Common Entrance Examination can be downloaded from the official website before the examination.

Candidates must apply online through the official Indian Army website:

Applicants are advised to regularly check the website and their registered email IDs for updates, exam notifications, and admit card downloads.


Transparent and Fair Recruitment Process

Colonel Rajath Suvarna emphasized that the Indian Army Recruitment 2027 process is fully automated, transparent, and merit-based. He cautioned candidates against touts and fraudulent agents who falsely claim to guarantee selection.

He stated that only hard work and proper preparation will ensure success in the recruitment process. Aspirants are urged not to fall prey to middlemen or agencies offering false promises.
