Amaravati: The Real Time Governance Society (RTGS) has been placed on high alert in view of the cyclone threat over North Andhra, with continuous real-time monitoring of the cyclone’s movement, weather conditions and the ground situation in affected districts. RTGS is coordinating with district administrations and line departments to ensure timely alerts, advance warnings and effective response measures.
Real-Time Monitoring and Alerts
The RTGS Command Control Centre, in coordination with the AWARE wing, is closely tracking the cyclone’s movement and intensity, rainfall patterns, wind conditions and other weather-related developments. The information is being analysed and disseminated regularly to help the administration take timely preventive and response measures.
Department of RTG Secretary Bhaskar Katamneni, IAS, and RTGS CEO Prakhar Jain, IAS, are reviewing the cyclone situation and preparedness measures in the affected areas.
The AWARE wing is sending real-time cyclone-related alerts and advisories to citizens on their mobile phones. The alerts provide information on cyclone movement, heavy rainfall, possible flooding and other weather-related risks based on the recipient’s location.
The same information is being shared with district authorities, department heads and senior officials to enable them to take precautionary measures in advance.

Alerts Extended to Field-Level Officials
RTGS is extending information from the State-level command centre to district and field-level administrative machinery. Alerts and advisories are being communicated to district administrations, line departments and field-level functionaries, including personnel of Swarna Gram and Swarna Ward Sachivalayams.
This real-time flow of information is intended to ensure that warnings reach last-mile officials without delay, strengthening preparedness and enabling a coordinated response.
RTGS is also providing advance information on areas that could experience intense rainfall, sudden flooding and other cyclone-related impacts. Reservoir levels, likely inflows into catchment areas and vulnerable locations are being monitored and shared with the concerned authorities.
Particular attention is being given to Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Parvathipuram Manyam, Visakhapatnam, ASR and Anakapalli districts, as the cyclone is expected to cross the coast near Kalingapatnam. In Srikakulam, the administration is being alerted about locations that could face sudden flooding so that precautionary measures can be taken.
Citizens Advised to Track Cyclone Updates
RTGS officials are maintaining continuous coordination with affected district administrations and reviewing field-level information along with real-time weather inputs to provide senior officials with an updated assessment of the situation.
RTGS has urged people to remain alert and track the cyclone through the AWARE App and website. Citizens can access real-time weather conditions, cyclone movement and location-specific alerts through the platform.
