Strict Action Against Industrial Waste

Pawan Kalyan questioned officials about locations where polluted water is entering the Godavari river. He instructed authorities to ensure that industrial waste is not released into rivers and canals without proper treatment.

He also directed Pollution Control Board officials to act more strictly against industries violating pollution norms. According to officials, the government is planning tighter monitoring mechanisms to identify pollution sources more effectively.

Focus on Clean Godavari Before Pushkaralu

With lakhs of devotees expected to visit during Godavari Pushkaralu, the Deputy CM stressed the need to maintain river cleanliness and public hygiene. He warned that sewage entering rivers and irrigation canals poses a serious threat to public health.

Pawan Kalyan instructed officials to release only fully treated sewage water into rivers and canals. He also called for the identification and mapping of sewage “hotspots” where contaminated water enters the river in large quantities.
