The Rural Innovations, Incubation, Skilling and Entrepreneurship (RISE) Centre, located in Guntupalli village of Ibrahimpatnam block, has received financial assistance of ₹1.55 crore from NITI Aayog. Supports Women Entrepreneurship
The NITI Aayog RISE Centre funding is aimed at transforming rural women, especially members of self-help groups, into successful entrepreneurs. Speaking at a media conference held at the Collectorate, Dr. Lakshmisha stated that the centre was established with a clear focus on promoting self-employment and financial independence.

The initiative supports the Chief Minister’s vision of “one family – one entrepreneur,” encouraging every household to develop a sustainable income source. A detailed proposal submitted to NITI Aayog was carefully evaluated by a special committee, which approved the ₹1.55 crore financial assistance.
The funds will be used for AI-based skill surveys, skill development programs, infrastructure creation, and other essential support activities in the Ibrahimpatnam block. The Collector emphasized that this funding will significantly benefit women from self-help groups by providing them with better opportunities to grow and succeed.

Expands Skill Development
Under the NITI Aayog RISE Centre funding, the district administration is implementing innovative training programs to equip women with modern and practical skills. The RISE Centre has been designed as a one-stop solution, offering services through various dedicated desks such as Help Desk, Idea Desk, Skilling Desk, Placement Desk, and Banking Desk.
According to Dr. Lakshmisha, more than 1,000 women have already received training in diverse fields including artificial intelligence, spoken English, paper crafts, car driving, micro food processing, and solar panel installation. In addition, workshops on digital commerce platforms and value-added products such as dairy enterprises have been conducted to enhance income opportunities.
These programs are helping women develop both technical and entrepreneurial skills, enabling them to adapt to changing market needs and build sustainable livelihoods.
Creates New Opportunities
The impact of the NITI Aayog RISE Centre funding is already visible, with over 300 families successfully establishing their own business units. Many women have transitioned into entrepreneurship by utilizing government schemes and the support provided by the RISE Centre.
Regular training sessions, weekly workshops, and field visits are being conducted to ensure continuous learning and practical exposure. The district administration has also partnered with various organizations, industry bodies, and innovation hubs to strengthen the initiative.
Monthly job fairs are being organized under the NTR Vikas program, providing employment opportunities alongside entrepreneurship support. This integrated approach is helping create a strong ecosystem for both employment and self-employment in the region.
