Nara Lokesh Inaugurates Lift Irrigation Project

The High-Level Canal Lift Irrigation Scheme has a water discharge capacity of around 250 cusecs. Through this project, irrigation water will be supplied to nearly 25,344 acres of agricultural land across the Mangalagiri, Tenali, and Ponnur constituencies, providing significant relief to farmers in the region.

Officials stated that four pumps have been installed to lift and distribute water effectively through the canal network. The project was completed after the release of funds as promised by Nara Lokesh during the election campaign, fulfilling a key commitment made to farmers in the area.

Speaking on the occasion, local leaders said the project would help improve agricultural productivity and ensure better water availability for farmers who have long faced irrigation challenges.
