IVRS Feedback Triggers Surprise Inspection

Focus on Toilets, Drinking Water, Cleanliness and Passenger Comfort

(By GMA Staff Reporter)
Guntur, Feb 11:District Collector A. Thameem Ansar iya directed officials to sign ificantly improve basic amen ities at the RTC Bus Station. The Collector conducted a surprise inspection of the Guntur RTC Bus Station on Wednesday. The inspection was prompted by unsatisfactory public satisfaction levels reflected in the government’s IVRS-based Public Positive Perception feedback. She personally visited toilets, drinking water points, and shops, and inspected the sale and purchase of items such as tea and water bottles. The Collector also interacted directly with passengers and enquired about cleanliness at toilets and drinking water areas.
She stressed that both inside and outside the bus station, the environment must be clean and pleasant. He noted that even if safe drinking water is supplied, people will not trust it unless the surroundings are hygienic and welcoming.
The Collector instructed that drinking water points and toilets be monitored daily, that every water tap be functional, and that these areas be maintained as mod els of cleanliness. She also di rected that adequate dustb ins be installed.Pointing out that thousands of passe ngers pass through the station every day, he empha sized the need for special attention to food quality, beverage quality, pricing, and toilet maintenance. She remarked that the upkeep of the bus station reflects the dedication of the staff and influences public perception positively. He added that improved facilities would increase passenger footfall, improve occupancy rates, and enhance public satisfaction with services.District Public Transport Officer G. Samrajyam and staff were present during the inspection.
