The award was presented on Sunday at a special ceremony held in Dehradun. The honor was received by the book’s author, Dr. Shakamuri Srinivasa Prasad, from noted educationist and novelist Alok Das Gupta Niyogi.
Writers from several states across the country participated in the event. Significantly, “Chandrababu X.O” was the only book from South India to receive the award. Organizers also noted that it was the first book in the political literature category to receive this recognition, adding further prestige to the occasion.

Speaking after receiving the award, Dr. Shakamuri Srinivasa Prasad became emotional while sharing his experience. He said one of the most memorable moments of his life was hearing chief guest Alok Das Gupta Niyogi personally say, “I read it,” referring to the book.
“That appreciation means more to me than the award itself. Having a respected novelist read and acknowledge my work is a deeply meaningful honor,” he said.

Responding to questions about the inspiration behind the book, the author said he has worked as a journalist for more than three and a half decades. Observing how government policies and leadership decisions influence public welfare and state development has been a central part of his professional journey.
During that process, Chandrababu Naidu’s thought process, developmental vision, and future-oriented leadership deeply impressed him. Dr. Srinivasa Prasad revealed that the book was also shaped by extensive insights shared by Dr. Ramanath Velamati, who has had a long-standing ideological association with Chandrababu Naidu.

The author emphasized that leaders like Chandrababu Naidu should not be viewed solely through a political lens. Instead, he argued, it is important to analyze how their decisions influence economic growth, technological advancement, infrastructure, and the quality of life of citizens.
