A Challapalli police station explosion in Andhra Pradesh’s Krishna district on Tuesday morning left four police personnel injured, with two reported to be in critical condition. Challapalli Police Station Explosion Leaves Officers Injured
The Challapalli police station explosion occurred while explosive materials were reportedly being examined inside the station. According to preliminary reports, firecrackers and ammunition had been brought into the premises and stored improperly, leading to the sudden blast.
Eyewitnesses stated that driver Dampanaboyina Durga Anjaneyulu and two constables were present at the time of the incident. The driver sustained severe injuries, while the constables and the Station House Officer (SI) were also injured. All victims were immediately shifted to Keerthi Hospital for treatment. The explosion also resulted in a vehicle being completely gutted.
