Amaravati, March 20, 2026:In a significant administrative move, the Andhra Pradesh government has implemented a major reshuffle of senior bureaucrats under the AP IAS Officers Transfers exercise. The government issued G.O. Rt. No. 627 through the General Administration Department, announcing multiple transfers and new postings aimed at strengthening governance across key departments.
The reshuffle reflects the state’s efforts to enhance administrative efficiency and ensure better coordination among departments. Several senior IAS officers have been reassigned to crucial roles with immediate effect.

Key Appointments and Role Changes
As part of the AP IAS Officers Transfers, senior IAS officer K. Kanna Babu (2006 batch), who served as Commissioner of AP Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA), has been appointed as Commissioner of Civil Supplies and Ex-Officio Secretary to the Government in the Consumer Affairs, Food & Civil Supplies Department. He replaces Saurabh Gaur (2002 batch), who held the post on a full additional charge basis.
Vijay Rama Raju V (2012 batch), Director of School Education, has been transferred and his services placed at the disposal of the Municipal Administration and Urban Development Department. He will take charge as the new Commissioner of APCRDA. Meanwhile, the School Education Department has been directed to make interim arrangements for his previous role.
In another key change, M. Vijaya Suneetha (2014 batch), Director of Agriculture Marketing, has been appointed as Collector and District Magistrate of Markapuram district.
District-Level Changes and Additional Charges
Continuing the AP IAS Officers Transfers, Kothamasu Dinesh Kumar (2017 batch), who served as Director of Ayush, has been posted as Collector and District Magistrate of Polavaram district. The Health, Medical and Family Welfare Department has been asked to assign an in-charge officer for the Ayush Director post.
Additionally, Pattanshetti Ravi Subash (2013 batch), Secretary of the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC), has been given full additional charge as Director of Agriculture Marketing.

The government clarified that all postings are effective immediately. The orders were issued by Chief Secretary G. Sai Prasad in the name of the Governor of Andhra Pradesh.
