Speaking at a press conference held at the District Sainik Welfare Office on Tuesday, Indian Air Force Recruiting Officer Wing Commander Shaikh Yakoob Ali appreciated the efforts of all departments involved in organizing the rally.
The recruitment drive, conducted at Acharya Nagarjuna University from March 9, saw participation from both male and female candidates across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Officials revealed that over 7,000 candidates from Andhra Pradesh alone attended the rally on a single day.
Despite the large turnout, the Agniveer Vayu recruitment rally Guntur was conducted smoothly, with all tests carried out on schedule. Special arrangements were made to accommodate candidates who arrived without prior registration, ensuring a hassle-free experience for all participants.

Wing Commander Yakoob Ali highlighted that extensive awareness campaigns had been conducted across districts in both states since August 2025 to inform youth about Air Force career opportunities. The planning process for the rally was carried out over two months in coordination with the government.
He thanked several key officials for their support, including former Chief Secretary Vijay Anand, current Chief Secretary Sai Kumar, District Collector A. Thameem Ansariya, Joint Collector Ashutosh Srivastava, and District Revenue Officer N.S.K. Khajavali.
The police department, led by SP Vakul Jindal and other officers, was commended for maintaining tight security. Acharya Nagarjuna University officials were also appreciated for providing the venue and infrastructure.
