In a significant political development, Andhra Pradesh IT Minister Nara Lokesh, Union Minister Bhupathiraju Srinivasa Varma, along with NDA MPs, met President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan to express gratitude for approving the Amaravati Capital Legislation.

The leaders conveyed their heartfelt thanks to the President for granting assent to the Amaravati Capital Legislation, calling it a historic decision that ensures legal clarity and long-term stability for Andhra Pradesh’s capital. They stated that this move fulfills the aspirations of nearly five crore people of the state and marks a turning point in its administrative and infrastructural development. The delegation emphasized that the Amaravati Capital Legislation provides a strong legal foundation for planned growth and governance.

Amaravati Capital Legislation Gains Historic Recognition

Union Minister Srinivasa Varma described the Amaravati Capital Legislation as a “golden chapter” in Andhra Pradesh’s history. He highlighted that the legislation not only strengthens Amaravati’s position as the capital but also boosts investor confidence and development prospects. The delegation also acknowledged the role of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in supporting Andhra Pradesh’s growth vision. According to the leaders, the Amaravati Capital Legislation reflects the Centre’s commitment to building a world-class capital city.
