Anantapur: In a major push towards water conservation and rural development, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu arrived in Yadiki to participate in the ambitious Jaladhara program. During the visit, district officials presented detailed reports on the steps taken to improve water conservation in Anantapur district. The district collector and MLA Asmita Reddy explained ongoing measures aimed at strengthening irrigation and ensuring sustainable water usage.
The Chief Minister carefully reviewed photographs and progress reports related to canal expansion works, highlighting the government’s commitment to improving irrigation infrastructure.

A special photo exhibition was organized to display the government’s 100-day action plan. Officials explained key initiatives focused on water security, efficient resource management, and strengthening irrigation systems across the state.

Support for Women and Rural Economy
In a notable interaction, CM Chandrababu visited stalls set up by DWCRA women showcasing locally made products. Women representatives displayed handmade goods and textiles, emphasizing the role of self-help groups in boosting rural livelihoods.
MLAs Paritala Sunitha, Bandaru Sravani, and Palle Sindhura Reddy were present and introduced the products to the Chief Minister.
Promotion of Natural Farming and Sustainable Practices
The Chief Minister also visited stalls showcasing products grown through natural farming and vermicomposting. Officials explained how agricultural waste is being effectively utilized to promote eco-friendly farming practices.

Industrial and Tourism Potential Highlighted
CM Chandrababu explored stalls related to granite, dolomite, and limestone mining, underlining the district’s industrial potential. Additionally, he visited stalls promoting tourism and spiritual centers in the region.
Industrialist-turned-leader J. C. Prabhakar Reddy informed the Chief Minister that tourist footfall has significantly increased in these areas, indicating growing interest in the region.
