Modern Dental Treatments: Importance of Oral Hygiene
Speaking at a health awareness session on “Dental Diseases and ENT Disorders – Modern Treatments Available,” Dr. T. Harshavardhan Reddy emphasized that dental health plays a vital role in overall well-being. He said that poor oral hygiene and unhealthy eating habits can lead to issues such as indigestion, gas, and constipation.
He advised people to follow basic dental care practices, including changing toothbrushes every month and undergoing professional cleaning every six months. The use of ultra-soft toothbrushes can help protect teeth and gums.
He also warned against using medicated mouthwashes or dental products without professional consultation, as they may destroy beneficial bacteria and lead to complications.
