Human Trafficking Prevention has become a critical priority as authorities intensify efforts to curb the growing menace. In Mangalagiri, a key meeting was held under the leadership of Andhra Pradesh Women’s Commission Chairperson Rayapati Shailaja to discuss the organization of a comprehensive workshop aimed at strengthening Human Trafficking Prevention mechanisms. During the meeting, Chairperson Rayapati Shailaja emphasized that Human Trafficking Prevention requires a united and well-coordinated approach. She highlighted that agencies such as the railway department, state police, anti-human trafficking units, child welfare committees, and women and child welfare departments must work together to tackle the problem effectively.
Officials discussed the importance of involving universities, awareness clubs, non-governmental organizations, forensic experts, and victim support centers in the campaign. The workshop will aim to create a strong network among these stakeholders, ensuring timely action and better protection for vulnerable groups, especially women and children.
Shailaja also stressed that Human Trafficking Prevention is not just the responsibility of authorities but of society as a whole. She called for increased vigilance, early reporting of suspicious activities, and stronger community participation to prevent trafficking incidents.
