Farmer Compensation Assurance has become a major relief for farmers affected by recent hailstorms in Andhra Pradesh. State Endowments Minister Anam Ramnarayana Reddy personally visited the damaged agricultural fields in Ananthasagaram mandal and assured farmers that the government will extend full support. He emphasized that every affected farmer will receive compensation for every cent of land damaged, urging them not to lose hope during this difficult time.

Minister Visits Affected Villages
During his field visit under the Farmer Compensation Assurance initiative, Minister Anam Ramnarayana Reddy inspected crop damage in Chilakamarri, Kamireddypadu, and Mangupalli villages. Farmers expressed deep concern as standing crops like paddy, cotton, and chilli were completely destroyed due to unexpected hailstorms.
Responding to their grievances, the Minister reassured them that the government stands firmly with them. He said that the Farmer Compensation Assurance policy ensures that no farmer will be left unsupported. He directed officials to assess the damage accurately and provide immediate relief. The Minister also interacted with farmers directly, understanding their losses and promising timely intervention.

Compensation Process and Government Action
Highlighting the implementation of Farmer Compensation Assurance, the Minister stated that preliminary reports indicate that around 1,469 farmers across 21 villages have suffered crop losses over 1,289 hectares. Ananthasagaram mandal alone recorded damage in over 1,054 hectares, with paddy being the most affected crop.
Officials from Agriculture, Horticulture, and Revenue departments have been instructed to complete the enumeration process within two days. The Minister assured that once the report is submitted, compensation will be processed quickly as per government norms. Importantly, tenant farmers will also be covered under the Farmer Compensation Assurance scheme.

He further added that discussions with Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Agriculture Minister Atchannaidu have already taken place, and both leaders are committed to providing relief. The government aims to ensure that farmers recover quickly and continue their agricultural activities without long-term setbacks.
