In a major relief to Polavaram Displaced Families, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has released ₹250 crore towards rehabilitation and resettlement (R&R), calling it a special Ugadi gift. The initiative aims to provide financial support and improve living conditions for families affected by the Polavaram irrigation project.

The ₹250 crore allocation for Polavaram Displaced Families was formally handed over by the Chief Minister during a programme held in Mangalagiri on Wednesday. Speaking on the occasion, Polavaram MLA Chirri Balaraju described the move as a significant and commendable step by the government.
He noted that under the leadership of Chandrababu Naidu, rehabilitation works related to the Polavaram project are progressing at a rapid pace. The government is prioritizing the welfare of displaced families by ensuring both infrastructure development and timely financial assistance.
