Eluru, March 17: State Civil Supplies Minister and District In-charge Minister Nadendla Manohar announced that a comprehensive Eluru District Development Action Plan is being implemented to ensure all-round progress across sectors in the current financial year. Speaking after a review meeting at the Collectorate, the Minister said coordinated efforts by public representatives and officials are driving rapid development and welfare initiatives in the district.

Eluru District Development Action Plan Focus on Welfare and Services
As part of the Eluru District Development Action Plan, the government is prioritizing public satisfaction and efficient service delivery. The Minister revealed that feedback on welfare schemes is being collected through the IVRS system to ensure transparency and improvement.
Officials have been directed to strengthen essential services ahead of the Chief Minister’s review. Key focus areas include ensuring drinking water supply during summer, implementation of the Jal Jeevan Mission, development of rural and R&B roads, and improvement of RTC bus stands. The plan also emphasizes strengthening Anna canteens, pension enrolment, and infrastructure in schools and hostels.
Additionally, irrigation canals are being repaired to support farmers, while pending government buildings and school infrastructure projects are being completed under the Eluru District Development Action Plan.

Eluru District Development Action Plan Boosts Industry and Tourism
The Eluru District Development Action Plan also aims to boost industrial and tourism growth in the region. The Minister stated that new industries are being encouraged to generate employment opportunities for youth, with a focus on land identification, infrastructure development, and promotion of MSME parks.
To enhance tourism, a Temple Tourism Circuit is being developed, with infrastructure upgrades in the Papikondalu region. The road to Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple at IS Jagannathapuram is being expanded to four lanes to improve accessibility.
In the healthcare sector, efforts are underway to provide modern facilities in hospitals, particularly at Eluru Government General Hospital. The Minister also assured that there is no shortage of cooking gas, noting that recent demand spikes are due to panic bookings. He added that fresh supplies arriving soon will stabilize the situation.
Strict action will be taken against PDS rice smuggling, with cases to be registered under relevant laws. Measures are also being implemented to curb food adulteration and fill vacant Food Inspector posts.
The Minister further announced that ‘Sadaram’ camps will be conducted to issue disability certificates at the constituency level, ensuring easier access for citizens. He reaffirmed that all eligible beneficiaries will receive pensions and housing support.
