Amaravathi, Mar 10: Iran Conflict Impact on Andhra Pradesh was reviewed by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, who directed officials to closely monitor the situation and take necessary measures to minimize its effects on the state’s economy and public welfare.

During a review meeting held at the Real Time Governance Society (RTGS) centre in the Secretariat on Tuesday, the Chief Minister instructed officials to remain alert to possible disruptions, particularly in sectors such as poultry and horticulture, and prepare contingency plans to prevent any crisis.

He also emphasized the need to monitor the availability and price trends of essential commodities such as LPG, eggs, and bananas, which could be affected by global developments. Chandrababu Naidu asked officials to keep track of the situation in Gulf countries where a large number of Telugu people reside and ensure their safety by coordinating with the Ministry of External Affairs. A dedicated team of senior officials along with the RTGS centre will continuously assess the situation, he said.

The Chief Minister also reviewed various governance and public service issues across the state, including electricity supply, education, and sand distribution. Officials informed him that the state’s power demand has reached a peak of 14,013 MW this year. He directed power distribution companies to conduct an energy audit and submit a report to ensure uninterrupted power supply.

On education, the Chief Minister instructed officials to focus on syllabus quality, mid-day meals, and clean classrooms in schools and colleges. He suggested introducing nutritious food items such as millet-based chikki on a pilot basis.

Chandrababu Naidu also announced that the government will organize mass housewarming ceremonies for 2.5 lakh beneficiaries on the occasion of Ugadi. Officials were instructed to ensure that local public representatives participate and that official communication is sent to the beneficiaries.

The Chief Minister directed officials to ensure that sand is supplied across the state at government-fixed prices and that public complaints regarding sand supply are resolved immediately.

He also reviewed progress on agreements signed during the recent AI Impact India Summit in New Delhi, instructing officials to ensure swift implementation. Companies such as BharatGen, NexGen, and IBM have expressed interest in establishing AI Living Labs, and the Chief Minister said courses related to these initiatives should begin from the next academic year.

He further directed officials to make the proposed AI Sandbox by Kalibo available to startups within the next four months and to explore collaboration between NVIDIA and the Ratan Tata Innovation Hub.

To enhance digital governance, Chandrababu Naidu proposed the introduction of AI Agronomist services for farmers, AI Tutors for education, and AI Doctor services for preliminary medical advice, including digital prescriptions through mobile applications.

The Chief Minister also emphasized strengthening law enforcement through technology by linking 14,000 CCTV cameras across the state through a centralized CCTV app to improve crime prevention and tracking of offenders.

In the aviation sector, he directed officials to expedite the development of Drone City at Orvakal, establish a drone flying track, and set up a Remote Pilot Training Centre with support from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). He also suggested developing a drone traffic control system similar to Air Traffic Control (ATC).

Chandrababu Naidu encouraged greater use of WhatsApp governance services and asked officials to conduct awareness programmes to help citizens utilize these services effectively.

The meeting was attended by Minister Kolusu Parthasarathy, Chief Secretary Sai Prasad, and senior officials from the IT, RTGS, Mines, Education, Finance, and Planning departments.
