Government Support Transforms Life Through Housing and Welfare Initiatives
The story of Posibabu stands as a clear example of how “Government Support Transforms Life” when promises are implemented effectively. According to officials, the incomplete house of the beneficiary was fully developed under the supervision of District Collector Keerthi Chekuri. The construction included compound walls, plastering, tiles, cupboards, staircase sidewalls, painting, toilet facilities, fencing, and land leveling.

Housing Project Director Nathi Bujji stated that the works were completed with an additional expenditure of around Rs.2.5 lakh beyond the regular housing scheme. Furthermore, financial assistance of Rs.1 lakh was provided through the SC Corporation to support the family’s livelihood. Altogether, development works worth Rs.3.5 lakh were completed and handed over just in time for the Ugadi festival, bringing joy to the family.

Officials from various departments including Housing, DWMA, Mines, and SC Corporation worked in coordination to ensure that every aspect of support was delivered efficiently. The family also remembered the earlier efforts of former District Collector P. Prasanthi, who had initially extended help and adopted the family for welfare support.
Government Support Transforms Life by Ensuring Dignity and Livelihood
The phrase “Government Support Transforms Life” truly reflects Posibabu’s journey from hardship to stability. Recalling a memorable moment, he shared that during a pension distribution program in Malakapalli village, the Chief Minister personally ensured his safety and dignity by stopping his convoy and arranging for him to be dropped home.
Moved by the poor condition of Posibabu’s house, the Chief Minister immediately directed officials to rebuild it and provide livelihood assistance. As a traditional drum artist and cobbler, Posibabu expressed deep gratitude for the respect and recognition he received. Plans are now underway to establish a footwear shop for him, ensuring a stable and sustainable source of income.
