The V-Cart Exhibition Vijayawada witnessed strong encouragement for women entrepreneurs as NTR District Collector Dr. G. Lakshmisha emphasised that self-employment is the foundation for empowerment. Addressing participants at the event, he highlighted how women can achieve financial independence and personal growth by leveraging government support and modern technology. The exhibition, organised by ALEAP, aims to promote MSMEs, startups, and women-led enterprises in the region.
Government Support for Women Entrepreneurs
At the V-Cart Exhibition Vijayawada, the Collector underlined the various initiatives introduced by the government to support women entering the business sector. He stated that financial assistance, skill development programmes, and marketing support are readily available for aspiring entrepreneurs.
The event, held at Siddhartha Institute of Hotel Management and Catering in Vijayawada, brought together officials, entrepreneurs, and industry experts. Union MSME Joint Secretary Mercy Epao and former Zilla Parishad Chairperson Gadde Anuradha attended the programme and interacted with stall owners showcasing their products.
Dr. Lakshmisha stressed that self-employment not only strengthens individual financial stability but also contributes to the broader development of society. He appreciated organisations like ALEAP for their role in guiding women entrepreneurs from the initial stages to achieving sustainable business success.
He also highlighted the importance of utilising platforms like the RISE (Rural Innovation and Startup Ecosystem) Centre in Guntupalli, which provides mentorship and support for budding entrepreneurs in the district.
Focus on Innovation and Business Growth
The V-Cart Exhibition Vijayawada also focuses on enhancing business knowledge and innovation among women entrepreneurs. ALEAP President Ramadevi Kanneganti announced that a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed with Pay Nearby to strengthen digital and financial services for entrepreneurs.
She stated that the exhibition, which will continue until March 25, features a wide range of products from women-led enterprises. The event also includes discussions on technology adoption, financial awareness, business opportunities, and empowerment initiatives.
