Amaravati, March 19: Marking the festive occasion of Ugadi, the Andhra Pradesh government unveiled the much-anticipated Ugadi Job Calendar Andhra Pradesh, reaffirming its commitment to employment generation and youth empowerment. Telugu Desam Party (TDP) State President Palla Srinivasa Rao extended Ugadi greetings and highlighted that the coalition government, led by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Minister Nara Lokesh, is delivering on its promises with measurable outcomes.

Ugadi Job Calendar Andhra Pradesh: A Major Step for Youth Employment
The Ugadi Job Calendar Andhra Pradesh was described as a landmark initiative designed to secure the future of the State’s youth. Speaking at the event, Mr. Srinivasa Rao stated that the recruitment drive will begin with 10,060 vacancies across multiple sectors, including Group-I, Group-II, police services, higher education, school education, and Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) posts.
He emphasized that the Ugadi Job Calendar Andhra Pradesh reflects a structured and transparent approach to job creation, ensuring that opportunities reach deserving candidates. The initiative aims to streamline recruitment processes while enhancing credibility and efficiency in government hiring.
6.28 Lakh Jobs and Welfare Expansion Under Coalition Government
Highlighting achievements, Mr. Srinivasa Rao noted that even before the launch of the Ugadi Job Calendar Andhra Pradesh, the coalition government had already facilitated employment for 6,28,347 individuals. This includes 30,607 government jobs, 2,48,906 jobs in MSMEs, and 1,46,627 placements through job melas and skill development initiatives.
Additionally, sectors such as industries, food processing, IT, electronics, and tourism have contributed significantly to employment generation. These achievements underline the government’s proactive efforts to boost livelihoods and economic growth.
Beyond employment, the government has introduced several welfare schemes. Under ‘Thalliki Vandanam’, ₹10,090 crore has been transferred to over 67 lakh mothers. The ‘Stree Shakti’ initiative enabled more than 43 crore free bus journeys, while ‘Divyang Shakti’ focuses on accessible transport for persons with disabilities.
Farmers benefited from ₹6,310 crore under ‘Annadata Sukhibhava’, while pensions worth ₹58,654 crore were distributed to 63 lakh beneficiaries. Financial assistance was also extended to fishermen and auto drivers, showcasing inclusive governance.

Infrastructure, Investments, and ‘Brand Andhra’ Vision
Mr. Srinivasa Rao further stated that the success of the Ugadi Job Calendar Andhra Pradesh is supported by rapid infrastructure development and growing investments. The government has undertaken road repairs worth ₹1,000 crore and new projects valued at ₹3,000 crore, along with the construction of 4,000 km of rural roads.
In addition, digital governance initiatives have made over 900 services accessible to the public. Reforms in education and healthcare are being implemented to ensure long-term development.
The State has also witnessed a surge in investments from global companies such as Google (AI Hub in Visakhapatnam), Reliance Data Centre, TCS, and Cognizant. With ₹20 lakh crore in investments and over 25 lakh job opportunities generated in just 20 months, Andhra Pradesh is moving towards becoming a strong economic hub under the ‘Brand Andhra’ vision.
