Alluri Sitarama Raju District:
The celebration of the Jana Sena Party’s 13th foundation day took on a unique form as Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena Party President Pawan Kalyan spent the day among tribal communities in the remote villages of the Paderu constituency. Instead of organizing large gatherings in urban areas, the event highlighted the theme “Development in the Lap of Nature, Progress Plans with Tribal Communities.” The Deputy Chief Minister visited tribal hamlets, reviewed development works and interacted directly with villagers to understand their needs. The initiative reflected the government’s commitment to ensure that development reaches even the most remote tribal regions.

Pawan Kalyan spent time with tribal families, inspected infrastructure works and discussed future development plans aimed at improving connectivity, drinking water facilities, education and employment opportunities in hilltop villages.

Development in the Lap of Nature, Progress Plans with Tribal Communities: Celebrations in Paderu Tribal Villages

The celebrations were organized in tribal villages including Onuru and Nandigaru in the Paderu constituency. The programme demonstrated how development initiatives can move forward while preserving the natural environment, truly reflecting the theme “Development in the Lap of Nature, Progress Plans with Tribal Communities.”

As part of the visit, Pawan Kalyan unveiled a Jana Sena Party flag mast at Onuru junction and greeted party leaders and workers. He expressed gratitude to party cadres for their efforts in strengthening the party at the grassroots level and urged them to continue working for the welfare of the people.

During the tour, the Deputy Chief Minister inspected several development projects undertaken in the tribal region. These included roads built under the PM Janman (Adavithalli Baata) programme, drinking water facilities provided through the Jal Jeevan Mission, and educational infrastructure in tribal settlements.

He also walked along the newly constructed 2.4-kilometre road from Onuru Junction to Nandigaru, built at a cost of ₹1.70 crore under the PM Janman scheme. Officials explained that the road construction was challenging as it involved cutting through hills and building eight culverts along the route.

Pawan Kalyan appreciated the officials for completing the road with high standards of quality despite the difficult terrain. While walking along the road, he interacted with tribal residents and children who welcomed him warmly. Some of them displayed placards thanking Prime Minister Narendra Modi for providing funds for development works in tribal areas.

Officials also briefed him on land development works undertaken in podu cultivation areas under the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (NREGS). These works included the construction of stone retaining walls in hill slopes to prevent soil erosion and improve agricultural productivity.

Later, the Deputy Chief Minister inspected drinking water facilities established under the Jal Jeevan Mission in Onuru Gram Panchayat. Officials informed him that tap connections had been provided to 60 households at a cost of ₹8.30 lakh, with the State Government providing a matching grant for half the amount.

Pawan Kalyan personally checked the water quality by collecting water from a tap and interacting with villagers to ensure that the supply met their needs. He also thanked the Prime Minister along with villagers for supporting rural drinking water infrastructure.

New Development Plans for Tribal Areas

Continuing his visit, Pawan Kalyan inspected the Anganwadi centre and Mandal Primary School in Onuru village. He distributed sweets and nutrition kits to children and presented new clothes to pregnant women and Anganwadi workers.

At the school, he interacted with students and distributed school bags, books and stationery kits. He also directed officials to repair the damaged flooring in the school building. Officials informed him that funds had already been sanctioned under the “Mana Badi – Mana Bhavishyat” programme for school repairs.

During the programme, residents of Kothapolam village, located between Onuru and Nandigaru, met the Deputy Chief Minister and submitted a petition requesting road connectivity, drinking water facilities and a school building.

Responding immediately, Pawan Kalyan called the concerned officials and directed them to provide the requested facilities at the earliest. Officials informed him that ₹6.90 lakh had already been sanctioned for drinking water facilities in the village and that road construction would be taken up under the VB Jiram Ji scheme.

The Deputy Chief Minister also suggested several initiatives to enhance income opportunities for tribal communities. He recommended planting fruit-bearing trees such as jackfruit and custard apple along newly constructed roads, which would help tribal families earn additional income.

He further proposed promoting eco-tourism initiatives in hill regions by developing bamboo cottages and encouraging homestays. Tribal villages with scenic landscapes could also be developed as tourist attractions and film shooting locations, creating employment opportunities for local youth.

Women from Nandigaru village walked up to the outskirts of Onuru to thank the Deputy Chief Minister for building roads in their area. They requested him to walk with them to their village, and Pawan Kalyan accepted their request and continued the journey on foot with them.

Earlier, he visited Vardhanapalli village near Paderu, where he inspected internal roads and drainage systems. Observing clogged drainage channels, he directed officials to examine the feasibility of constructing magic drains and assured villagers that a Rachabanda community hall would be built.

The programme concluded with Pawan Kalyan visiting the Sri Lalitha Tripura Sundari Temple near Paderu, marking the end of the event that truly reflected the spirit of “Development in the Lap of Nature, Progress Plans with Tribal Communities.”
